This is a table you need to remember very carefully. This will help you to solve different problems in real exam. TCP is connection oriented protocol and UDP is connection less oriented. One more thing you need to remember aslo which protocols work under TCP and which work under UDP.

TCP: FTP, Telnet, DHCP, DNS, POP, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP this protocols works under TCP.

UDP: TFTP, DNS, SNMP this protocols works under UDP.
